Pear, Blue Cheese & Hazelnut Pizza

With two little men occupying a good percentage of my time I have to grab at the opportunities to share recipes as they present themselves.  I have learnt that I am much better at being spontaneous these days than I am at planning things.  So whilst my big guy is at creche (no doubt elbow-deep in sand and soaking wet) and my little guy sleeps I am putting fingers to the keyboard to bring you this very quick and easy recipe for pizza.  I find that more-and-more I like to cook meals which are heavy on the vegetables and light on the nutrient-hollow things like bread.  However this is a combination which I find extremely hard to resist and let's face it indulging on pizza every-now-and-then is one of life's little pleasures!

Pear, Blue Cheese & Hazelnut Pizza
Makes 4 pizzas

4 pizza bases (I used wholemeal Lebanese bread)
4 teaspoons olive oil plus extra to serve
1 clove garlic, halved
2 pears, cored, sliced into 2-3mm slices
½ red onion, halved, finely sliced
140g blue cheese, roughly crumbled
80g hazelnuts, roughly chopped
small handful rocket leaves per pizza

Preheat the oven to 200C. Drizzle each pizza base with a teaspoon of olive oil and rub well with the garlic.  Divide the pear, onion, blue cheese and hazelnuts among the 4 pizza bases.  Put in the oven and cook for 8 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.  Remove from the oven, cut into pieces, scatter with the rocket leaves, a drizzle of olive oil and a good grind of black
